Prior removal, Kunal praised BJP's Tapas Roy: "worthy candidate"
Several prominent private schools in Kolkata, including La Martiniere schools, St James’ School, and Sri Sri Academy, have opted to transition to online classes starting next week following a directive from the state government advancing the summer vacation period. The decision comes in response to the government's notice, prompting schools under its purview to adjust their schedules accordingly. While some institutions have already committed to virtual learning, others are expected to finalize their plans by the weekend.
Reverend Paritosh Canning, the bishop of the Calcutta diocese of the Church of North India, has instructed schools under the diocese to suspend offline classes and shift to online platforms. This directive affects 15 English and 10 Bengali-medium schools under the diocese's jurisdiction. Meanwhile, schools like St Thomas’ Boys’ School, St Thomas’ Girls’ School, and St Augustine’s Day School are prepared to conduct online sessions, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing students' health amidst the prevailing circumstances.
